Job Summary:
As a Project Engineer II, your role will encompass a blend of technical expertise, project
management skills, and leadership abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other members of the engineering team and operations, you will plan and
schedule capitol projects by defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. - Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation and risk
management plans. - Set milestones and ensure projects stay on track and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Lead cross- functional teams, including contractors, designers and technicians foster collaboration and communication throughout the teams.
- Manages project budgets and ensures financial objectives are met.
- Ensures that quality standards and project requirements are met and implements quality control processes on regular inspections.
- Maintains comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications and progress reports.
- Manages stakeholder expectations and innovates feedback into projects.
- Manages safety programs and procedures to exceed company goals on both leading and lagging indicators.
- Supports continuous improvement of Production, Safety and Food Safety management systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives.
- Operations management responsibility in a 24/7 operation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative spirit.
- Desire to learn with a strong work ethic.
- Strong background in engineering principles with a combination of hands on and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify problems early and develop innovative solutions.
