GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This job description does not include all duties and responsibilities, but is a guide to the performance of the work. The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical processing and supervision of new projects, as well as making modifications and improvements to existing equipment.

DUTIES, RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows the quality procedures associated with the Project Engineer position (see also quality document FB130).
- Is responsible for leading projects related to process improvements, requests and purchases of new products and/or molds, and requests and purchases of new (auxiliary) equipment.
- Calculates injection molded products and requests mold quotes and/or quotes for (auxiliary) equipment.
- (Re-)designs injection molded parts based on customer requirements.
- Supervises trial injection moldings.
- Supervises modifications/optimizations and repairs of existing injection molds.
- Identifies bottlenecks in production and if requested performs research with improvement(s) in mind.
- Has an active role and contribution in engineering team.
- Draws up internal product specifications together with colleagues from other departments/disciplines, whether or not based on customer specifications.
- If requested, conducts research into the application of new or different production techniques and materials.
- Consults and informs the Plant Manager as well as possible and in a timely manner regarding project progress and before making important decisions regarding current projects and possible costs involved in decisions.
- Is responsible for ensuring that purchased (auxiliary) resources comply with Dutch laws and regulations.
- Supervises the execution and quality of relevant projects.
- Commits to complying with the rules outlined in both the working conditions regulations, company regulations and plant policy.
- Follows training and instruction required for the position.
- Initiates an appraisal interview with the immediate supervisor at least once a year.
Management is authorized to add one or more duties to the above upon successful completion of necessary training(s).
BEHAVIOR AND SKILLS
- Minimum MBO+ / HBO working and/or thinking level with a technical or chemical background.
- Is customer-oriented and customer-friendly, both internally and with external parties.
- Has analytical thinking skills.
- Is able to communicate and maintain contacts in a businesslike and professional manner.
- Is positive, proactive, accurate, creative and reliable.
- Has a good knowledge of the Dutch and English language in word and writing.
- Has good computer skills.
- Enjoys working independently, but can also work well in a team.
