Overview
Join our dynamic Project Team as a Project Engineer! In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with a talented group of professionals, including a Project Manager, Product Engineer, Package Engineer, and Controls and Instrumentation Engineer, to ensure the successful execution of contracts within budget and on schedule.
As the main point of contact between Ebara Elliott Energy (EEE) and our clients, you’ll tackle technical challenges related to EEE equipment purchases. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel in communication, and possess strong problem-solving skills, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Understand Our Organization: Get to know Elliott’s product lines and project engineering procedures to effectively navigate internal relationships and streamline information flow.
- Promote Ethical Conduct: Uphold professional and ethical standards within the Project Engineering section, in alignment with Elliott's corporate policies and Code of Ethics.
- Foster a Positive Work Environment: Champion safety, health, and high-quality standards in your work to support Elliott’s management initiatives.
- Lead Projects: Serve as the Lead Project Engineer for assigned projects, guiding technical matters to ensure smooth contract execution.
- Facilitate Key Meetings: Organize and lead crucial customer meetings, such as Kick-Off and Design Review Meetings, in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Manage Documentation: Oversee all correspondence and technical documentation submitted for client approval, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Analyze Specifications: Review customer specifications to ensure alignment with project goals and expectations.
- Knowledge Retention: Maintain comprehensive project knowledge for both internal and external teams, ensuring seamless operations.
- Improve Processes: Contribute to enhancing departmental work standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Technical Resource: Act as a technical advisor for Sales, Applications, and Global Services teams.
- Autonomous Decision-Making: Make informed independent decisions to drive project success, even in the absence of the Project Manager.
- Travel Requirements: Expect minimal travel (typically less than 10%), with occasional weekend travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment with a strong track record of leading teams to successful contract completion.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and support.
- Familiarity with commercial and contractual issues encountered during project execution.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced understanding of industry standards such as API 617, API 614, API 612, API 610, etc.
- Knowledge of codes and standards relevant to the petroleum and petrochemical industries.
- Familiarity with customer processes like FCC, LNG, and Ethylene.
- 4+ years of experience in the turbomachinery or rotating equipment field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License is a plus.
