Responsibilities:

  • Manages new prototype and production sealing projects for internal combustion engine, transmission, electric/hybrid, fuel cell and other clean energy applications.
  • Utilizes and complies with APQP, other customer procedures and ISO/IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 as it applies to the position.
  • Manages requests for quotations to ensure timely submission to customers.
  • Tracks key success indicators (cost, schedule, and performance) for program throughout the Product Lifecycle.
  • Supports Operations with product and process issues.
  • Completes planning and capital appropriation requests as well as manages capital spending to budgeted levels.
  • Coordinates the use of vendor resources to ensure the success of projects.
  • Supports the Sales and Applications Engineering staff in Corporate office to help land new business and predict the needs of FNST customers.
  • Visits customers and vendors as required.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in an engineering or closely related technical degree
  • 5+ years' experience in engineering project management or non-degreed with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of rubber/plastic injection molding processes preferred.
  • Previous experience in rubber product design with a high level of customer and vendor interaction preferred.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing packages and Microsoft Project.
