Description

INTECH Process Automation is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating engineering, site execution, technical interfaces, work packages, schedules, materials, and project deliverables for brownfield and maintenance projects. The role ensures work is properly planned, technically compliant, safely executed, and completed with accurate documentation and close-out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate multidiscipline engineering and field execution of assigned projects and work packages.
  • Develop and review scope of work, work packages, technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and deliverables.
  • Conduct or coordinate site surveys, field verification, walkdowns, and existing-condition assessments.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces between Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, ICSS, Civil, Operations, and other disciplines.
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and execution requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement, material availability, technical submittals, vendor inputs, and site requirements.
  • Support brownfield modifications, tie-ins, shutdown activities, installation, testing, commissioning, and reinstatement.
  • Review engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with project specifications, approved standards, drawings, and company requirements.
  • Resolve technical queries, site issues, design conflicts, and multidisciplinary interfaces in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor work progress, deliverables, schedule, quality, and technical performance, and report deviations.
  • Coordinate FAT/SAT, inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover activities as applicable.
  • Ensure effective change control, MOC, technical documentation, and project records.
  • Support risk assessments, constructability reviews, method statements, and safe execution planning.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, contractors, vendors, and OEMs.
  • Ensure completion of punch lists, as-built documentation, test records, work orders, and project close-out.
  • Ensure compliance with PTW, LOTO, HSE, quality, process safety, and company project requirements.
Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant oil & gas/industrial experience, including at least 3 years in a Project Engineer or related role.
  • Strong experience in multidiscipline project execution and work-package development.
  • Proven ability in scope definition, site surveys, field verification, and brownfield execution.
  • Experience coordinating engineering deliverables, technical interfaces, contractors, vendors, and site teams.
  • Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, manpower, material, and resource coordination.
  • Experience with brownfield modifications, tie-ins, shutdowns, commissioning, and reinstatement.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, technical documents, and applicable company standards.
  • Ability to manage technical queries, changes, site issues, interfaces, and project risks.
  • Experience with progress tracking, reporting, punch-list management, and project close-out.
  • Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering/project management and CMMS systems is desirable.
  • Relevant project management or discipline-specific certification is advantageous.
