Project Engineer

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Project Engineer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You’ll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex projects.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all technical and administrative project activities, ensuring the project objectives are met efficiently and within budget and time constraints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, grow your technical skills, and make an impact in a dynamic engineering environment.

What you’ll do as a Project Engineer:

• Execute the design, schedules, and budgets of assigned projects, adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.

• In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Assist in defining and developing project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with all relevant central and area departments/businesses.

• Developing in-depth knowledge of technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute projects.

• Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

• Monitor and drive project progress, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to ensure milestones are met.

• Effectively handover project upon completion and ensure all relevant project information is available & communicated to area operations team.

• A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members.

You are:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5 years’ experience in project engineering within the energy sector.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to document, plan, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Ability to bring project to successful completion.
• Ability to manage multiple projects is a must.
