The Development & Planning Engineer is responsible for the following:
- New Model Project Launchà project scheduling, budgeting, reporting, to ensure new products are ready for manufacturing
- Long-term capacity planning
- Capital Expense Approval processà Assist in creating documents to gain approval of Capital Expense Projects
- Completing the annual Fixed Asset Inventory
Minimum Requirements
- 4-year Technical College Degree in Related Field
- 3+ years in Project Management in a Manufacturing environment.
- Experienced with Bill of Material reviews and Equipment Cycle Time calculations.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts & techniques
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to use data to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to create and present concepts to internal teams and all levels of management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Preferred Requirements
- Honda New Model process experience
- General Motors New Model experience
- AutoCAD/SolidWorks
