As a Project Engineer for Services, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team based in Pune/Noida, working under the guidance of a Team Lead. Your day will involve collaborating with global project managers, executing automation projects across various industries, and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective delivery. You'll visit customer sites to troubleshoot and commission systems, while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement. You will report to the Manager/TL

Your Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Delivery: Responsible for timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project execution that ensures customer satisfaction.

Process & Industry Standards: Provide process domain expertise and solutions aligned with industry best practices.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Project Managers and regional stakeholders to ensure smooth project engineering services and execution.

Project Oversight: Supervise and monitor all phases of project execution, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.

Team Development: Mentor and coach junior project engineers to enhance team capabilities and performance.

Manage Multiple Projects: Manage and report multiple project deliveries with the complete process adherence, meeting or improving on budget, schedule and quality requirements with all the possible value additions

Scope & Risk Management: Collaborate with the PM and Team Leader on scope definition, risk management, and technical issue resolution.

Escalation & Support: Handle escalations effectively and support large project pursuits, ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared.

Standardization & Cost Reduction: Promote reuse of standard engineering solutions and drive cost reduction through process improvements.

Customer Engagement: Work closely with leadership to ensure technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and repeat business.

Site Travel & Troubleshooting: Willingness to travel to project sites to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues. 75 % travel would be there.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in automation engineering, Specially with RA PLC, HMI & VFD's & Servo drive including system design and implementation.
  • Comprehensive project lifecycle exposure, from initial design through to final commissioning.
  • Essential for effective collaboration and project execution.
  • High level of expertise in Integrated Architecture, Standard Drives, Safety Product, Component Industry Control, Networks and a good understanding of Rockwell Software's.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Configuration and programming of automation and controls systems involving HMI and PLC/DCS.
  • Must have working knowledge of CLX/SLC/PLC5 for development, troubleshooting, communication and its integrated testing with RA or Third Party PLC.
  • Knowledge of P&IDs, System Architecture, IO list, Design Documentation for Process Applications.
  • Development of HMI, SCADA Software for Rockwell Systems or any other Competitors.
  • Must have proven experience in HMI, SCADA development of the Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View application (Local, Network (Station/ Distributed), ME)
  • Must be familiar with FTView Architecture of application (Area, Data server, HMI server), HMI Alarm/Alarm and Event server
  • Must be familiar with tagging conventions, Security, Global object development, Datalog Model, VBA scripting, Recipe, Trends, Reports, Communication and Integrated testing with PLC (CLX/SLC/PLC5) or Third party PLC
  • Design and Engineering of Process PLC Systems / Control Systems.
  • Ability to handle the project starting from Design till site commissioning.
  • Must have a good understanding about process and any regulations point of view.
  • Must have a good Knowledge of process applications.
  • Has ability to adopt to changing needs and identify any risk as well in the projects at an early stage.
  • High level of expertise in Integrated Architecture, Standard Drives, Safety Product, Component Industry Control, Networks, SSB Solutions, and a good understanding of Rockwell Software's.
  • Well versed with preparation of Functional Design Specification, Detail Design Specification, Test protocol including pre-FAT / FAT protocol, SAT protocols
  • Should be open for travel for FAT, SAT, Commissioning at customer site

Skills Required

  • Configuration and programming experience for automation and controls systems (HMI, PLC/DCS).
  • Working knowledge of CLX/SLC/PLC5 for development, troubleshooting, communication and integrated testing.
  • Knowledge of P&IDs, system architecture, IO lists, and design documentation for process applications.
  • Experience developing HMI/SCADA software, preferably FactoryTalk View (Local, Network, ME) and familiarity with FTView architecture and Alarm/Event servers.
  • Familiarity with tagging conventions, security, global object development, datalog models, VBA scripting, recipes, trends, reports, and integrated PLC testing.
