We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Industrial team, supporting the delivery of projects within a major heavy industrial manufacturing environment in South Auckland.
This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your project delivery career while working across a diverse portfolio of sustaining capital, reliability, maintenance and operational improvement projects. You'll work closely with our client and Beca's wider Industrial team, delivering practical engineering solutions that improve site performance, safety and reliability.
Working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you'll take projects from concept through to completion, building trusted relationships and delivering outcomes that improve safety, reliability and operational performance.
He aha tāu mahi | What you’ll be doing
Delivering sustaining capital projects including equipment replacements, reliability improvements, safety initiatives and compliance works
Supporting major capital projects as they arise
Managing projects end to end, from scope and planning through to delivery - working alongside client teams with support from Beca’s wider national capability
Building strong, trusted client relationships through consistent, high-quality delivery
Partnering with operational teams and key stakeholders to deliver practical engineering solutions

You're a practical and proactive engineer who enjoys taking ownership, building strong relationships, and delivering projects in complex industrial environments.
You’ll bring:
A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
4+ years’ experience delivering projects within heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
Experience managing project scope, programme, cost and risk
Experience working across maintenance, reliability, or capital projects
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
Confidence working independently in a client-facing environment
Strong computer literacy, including project documentation and reporting
Eligibility to work in New Zealand
