Description

This position is responsible for Engineering project management, with a focus on customer, plant, and supplier support for the Commercial Air Conditioning Business. You will solve customer issues (performance, sound, vibration, quality) and lead development of product derivatives per customer needs. This includes developing/managing schedules, prioritizing tasks, leading meetings, conducting performance/reliability assessments and completing product releases. Projects will require working with cross-functional teams, presenting project status to management and interaction with customers and suppliers.

AS A PROJECT ENGINEER/SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER YOU WILL:

  • Manage and coordinate efforts among cross functional teams to complete projects successfully

  • Interface with customers regarding product derivative requests, and meet required schedules

  • Coordinate qualification/validation testing.

  • Analyze, summarize, and present data as needed.

  • Prioritize tasks and adapt to changes in scope or resource availability.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent plus a minimum of one year of relevant experience (will
consider co-op/internship experience)
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be able to travel: 5-10%
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Two or more years of relevant experience
- Experience with high speed, high production volume rotating equipment
- Proficient in the use of MiniTab or other statistical software
- Understanding of refrigeration, thermodynamics and HVAC systems
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with problem solving methodologies (DMAIC or similar)
