Job Description
Project Engineer (PE) (Technical Project Manager) with Railway background to lead onboard railway signalling project, mainly with ERTMS with integrated STM national systems.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the PE work includes coordination/supervision of design and system engineering team that could be both internal or sub-contractors, interface with RAMS and customer, engineering planning and budget.
Overall, the PE is responsible for the technical solution supplied to the end customer and for following the engineering processes according to industry and company standards to assure quality of the deliverables.
The PE, in collaboration with the System Engineer, establishes the Engineering framework for the project (configuration, documentation and Engineering change management) and writes the Engineering Management Plan which is harmonized with all the other project plans.
Travels, mainly within Sweden and possibly in the Nordic area, for customer meeting or to visit site may be needed from time to time according to specific project needs.
Knowledge
From 3 up to 5 years of Engineering expertise in railway sector is a must.
Electrical or Electronic is the preferable Qualifications/ University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background, or Computer Engineering / Information Technology
Good technical understanding in signalling and safety critical systems with consequent knowledge about applicable CENELEC industry standards.
Site experience and TSI understanding/knowledge is a plus.
Skills
Proactivity, problem-solving, good communication and leadership skills are necessary for such critical role, especially since the job often is carried out in cooperation with external customers.
Language
Mandatory to be fluent in Swedish and English
