Key Responsibilities
Conduct wind resource assessments by analyzing meteorological data, performing energy yield calculations, and using industry-standard software (e.g., WAsP, WindPRO, OpenWind, or CFD models) to optimize wind farm layouts.
Support site selection and feasibility studies through wind measurement campaigns, GIS analysis, and data validation to identify high-potential locations for wind energy projects.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide technical insights on wind resource potential, uncertainty analysis, and energy production estimates, contributing to project development, financing, and operational decision-making.
Provide support on technical and commercial analysis for the Investment Team regarding renewable energy technologies, including onshore wind, solar PV and battery storage.
Support in the preparataion of reports and/or presentations for the Investment Team, or Investment Committee, summarising the analysis on potential technologies benefits, feasibility etc.
Support the Technical and Investment Team during the selection of the OEMs and Contractors for wind and solar projects, performing technical/commercial analysis etc.
Participate in technical Due Diligence for new Projects. This will include taking ownership of parts of the DD, and also supporting other members of the team and consultants that performing other parts of the DD.
Support in the preparation of tender request documents for projects including both commercial and technical requirements; inclusive of draft, release, clarification, evaluation and negotiation processes.
Participate in the dicussions with OEMs and Contractors to clarify contractor offers and meet the required Project requirements.
Provide assessment of the technical components of potential investment opportunities
To provide inputs to the investment Team (CAPEX, OPEX, energy yield, uncertainties, availability, construction period etc.) in order to run different scenarios on the financial models.
To effectively manage engineering related service providers / consultants at the development stage of the project (preliminary designs, surveys etc.).
Perform site visits to potential investment opportunities’ projects.
Support the Investment Team in the search of new potential sites for future developments.
Support the overall technical development of projects from early-stage screening to ready-to-build
Contribute to defining project technical strategies and key design assumptions
Preferred Qualifications:
BSc. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Post Graduate degree in Renewable Energy is desirable
Preferred Experience:
Min. 5 year’s project engineering experience in Wind/Solar projects
Energy Yield Assessments
Fluency in both written and spoken in English at business level
Job Specific Skills:
Conversant with softwares such as Microsoft Project, PVSyst, WinPro, Autocad, etc.
