The Order Engineering team is chartered by providing the most accurate and thorough engineering data for customer orders (e.g., Bills of Materials, manufacturing process data and capabilities, and general alignment to Flowserve standards and customer requested
specifications).
ROLE SUMMARY
The Jr. Project Engineer is expected to take the lead in ensuring that orders are understood, analyzed, scheduled, and released into Flowserve’s
production process in the best and most efficient manner possible. Order engineers provide logistical, technical, and operational support to
the local site, customers, warranty, and closely collaborate with sister sites globally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive, control and take ownership of engineering activities.
Prepares and reviews Engineering data.
Performs engineering studies and related calculations
Coordinates cross functional activities with other Flowserve departments
Collaborate with BU’s and GTEC Engineers to improve the Customer Satisfaction and Employee Engagement.
Have strong collaboration with project team.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
3-5 years of related experience.
Strong knowledge and use of CAD software with emphasis on 3D model creation from 2D drawings.
Demonstrated self-starter attitude with the ability for driving work to results and completion.
Academic knowledge of mechanical design principles including fluid flow, mechanics of material, drawing and machining practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite software.
Demonstrated ability for attention to detail, meeting of due dates, advanced organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and
manage multiple tasks simultaneously even if conflicting priorities exist.
Demonstrated analytical capability to evaluate machinery form, fit, and function in areas such as strength and thermal loading,
bolt, gasket, and bearing specification and approval, and recommendation with analysis of test data and instrumentation
outputs.
