Primary Responsibilities
- Leads the preparation of construction and ancillary documents in accordance with project scopes, client requirements, and applicable jurisdictional standards.
- Lead and support design teams in the daily planning, coordination, and execution of project tasks under the guidance of senior staff or project managers.
- Support the project team by coordinating with internal and external partners, including vendors, sub-consultants, clients, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), other departments, and project management team, to ensure alignment and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Research and apply relevant design standards, codes, and regulations from clients, the company, and governing authorities to ensure compliance and quality.
- Perform engineering calculations and technical analysis.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of engineering documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry and company standards.
- Prioritize and manage tasks effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Apply engineering principles and technology to develop practical, innovative, and efficient solutions for a variety of project types.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required.
- Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an EIT with a state licensure board is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.
- Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, AutoTurn, BlueBeam Revu and other applicable design software.
