Jaxon is looking for a Project Engineer I to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000

Schedule: Full-Time

Travel Requirement: 10-15%

Security Clearance Requirement: Department of Defense: Secret

Primary Duties:

· Produces accurate and complete schedules for all active & anticipated projects

· Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management

· Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements

· Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards

· Reviews and submit all project submittals 

· Builds project schedules and maintains schedules through execution 

· Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

· Maintains a safe and clean work environment

· Maintains Jaxon’s positive reputation

· Communicates continuously and effectively with all project stakeholders

· Builds strong teams by working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve mutual goals

· Ensures invoice accuracy and on-time payment receipt

· Ensures projects are completed on-time, within budget and that all quality standards are met

Requirements

Job Requirements:  

  • Solid understanding of construction industry processes
  • Consistent history of successfully completing projects ahead of schedule and under budget
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to: 
  1. Read, understand and review project plans
  2. Develop, review and submit project submittals
  3. Work with PMs to complete projects successfully
  4. Handle high stress situations well
  5. Develop complex project schedules and organize projects before execution

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree or two years of experience as a project engineer or similar role in Commercial/Industrial Construction, DoD contracting, EMP protection, or Manufacturing.
  • Understanding of and proficiency with plan reading, specifications, statements of work, and requests for proposals.
  • Experience coordinating project teams and schedules.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
  • Experience using MS Project.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance or higher.
  • Willingness to be coached and learn new skills in a growing industry.
