Role Summary:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing detailed technical and engineering support for Gas Seal Auxiliary Systems. This includes selection, specification review, calculations, P&ID development, and system description. The role also involves clean order input for the design engineering team and the creation of standard system engineering submittal documents. Additionally, the Project Engineer will support system engineering activities and address technical queries from customers and the commercial operations team.
Responsibilities:

Review order input data for Gas Seal Auxiliary Systems design, sizing, and selection for orders and proposals.

Maintain all engineering deliverables in the PLM system.

Create project engineering and submittal documents, including project handoff documents, specification and compliance logs, exceptions reviews, reference drawings, calculations, work instructions for design, instrument data sheets, utilities consumption lists, alarm settings tables, logic diagrams, control narratives for wet seal systems, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Installation and Operating Manuals (IOM) in accordance with vendor requirements.

Provide product coding, basic engineering advice, reference proposal drawings, and experience lists for specific applications.

Liaise with component manufacturers to gather relevant data for panel design.

Conduct dimensional and design checks on the output from the design engineering team to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with seal design, associated sizing, flow rates, and heat load calculations.

Review revision requests and design changes, documenting lessons learned to enhance internal processes and quality control.

Utilize in-house tools such as Engineering Information System, Application Engineering Program, and Imaging to manage daily engineering tasks.

Supervise and provide technical guidance during Gas Seal System FAT/SAT/commissioning.

Maintain daily logs of activities and submit weekly reports for manager review.

Foster a Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) culture and support initiatives to improve process efficiency, team performance, and product reliability.

Assist with job planning and perform task checking as required.
Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Familiarity with AutoCAD/Solidworks for preparing 2D and 3D assembly and component drawings.

Knowledge of mechanical engineering design standards, particularly ANSI/API.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering specifications and drawings.

Experience with basic structural analysis, flow, orifice sizing, heat load, and pressure drop calculations.
Preferred Experience / Skills:

Industrial experience in mechanical seals, sealing systems, gas seals, and panels.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal), self-motivation, and a willingness to learn.

Proven work ethic and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
