Why this role matter

As Project Engineer - Electrical, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects by supporting engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with the Lead Engineer, you will help ensure that technical and contractual requirements are effectively implemented, support project development through technical assessments and design reviews, and provide engineering expertise that contributes to quality execution and informed decision-making. Your work will help drive project performance, technical excellence, and the successful delivery of clean energy solutions that create long-term impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support engineering activities throughout the development, design, and execution phases of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Conduct technical assessments, due diligence reviews, and design evaluations to identify project risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, consultants, utilities, and other stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met and project objectives are achieved.
  • Review electrical designs, specifications, engineering documentation, and contractor proposals to ensure compliance with project and quality standards.
  • Provide on-site engineering support by managing technical queries, reviewing design changes, and supporting quality control activities during construction.
  • Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate with project teams and contractors to ensure accurate implementation of designs, effective documentation management, and smooth project execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by promoting engineering best practices, operational excellence, and adherence to Scatec standards throughout the project lifecycle.

What you’ll bring

Experience and qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in EPC environments delivering medium-to-large-scale construction projects.
  • Proven experience working on utility-scale Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
  • Experience collaborating with utilities and grid operators on interconnection and grid compliance requirements is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering practices across project design and construction phases.
  • Knowledge of quality control systems, construction monitoring, and site-based engineering activities.
  • Ability to apply to industry best practices to support safe
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written (and other languages if needed or ideal)
