This position is part of Novanta’s Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) business unit group. Novanta offers highly reliable, precise and safe solutions that enhance system performance and improve patient outcomes. Insufflators, pumps and disposable tube sets, along with medical visualization and operating room integration technologies are the preferred solution for minimally invasive surgery applications.Position DetailsSummary
Summary
The Project Engineer is responsible for the development and technical realization of Disposable Tube Set projects. He will take over the roll of the Project Manager and the System Engineer.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and development of complex tube set systems
- Ensure a full compliant and complete technical documentation including product risk management
- Responsible for the technical realization of projects
- Technical lead of development project for disposable products (target definition, DoD)
- Coordinating the development project; Leading the team through the individual development phases;
Coordinating shared resources used within R&D - Creating and monitoring project plans including project reporting
- Planning and monitoring project costs
General Tasks
- Strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.
- Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
- Min. 3 years of experience in the fields of systems engineering and project management
- Multidisciplinary expertise in systems development, mechanical design (plastic components)and application of disposable products.
- Experience in design transfer and manufacturing process development
- Expertise in sterilization and biocompatibility, design-to-cost, packaging, gluing and welding methods.
- Proven track record of successfully completed projects with multiple disciplines involved.
- Experience with common project management tools (e.g. MS Project, MS Azure or similar) and requirements management tools (e.g. Polarion).
- Experience with relevant standards such as IEC 13485
- Positive attitude and intercultural sensitivity
