The Project Engineer oversees solar PV projects, coordinating design, installation, and inter-departmental liaising to ensure project completion while managing subcontractors and reporting progress.

- Conduct engineering site survey for solar PV system installation.
- Coordinate with designer on the design of the solar PV system including but not limited to electrical, structural, and mechanical.
- Coordinate with construction engineer to ensure implementation of solar PV system installation.
- Plan and manage material purchase and subcontract via ERP system.
- Liaise closely with inter departments involved for the project completion.
- Liaise and manage sub-contractors/vendors for their scope of works, schedules and monitoring workmanship qualities or subcontractors during installation.
- Work with internal and/or external parties such as TNB, consulting firms, local authorities licensing matters and documentation.
- Liaise and coordinate with local authorities on meter installation and grid interconnection of solar PV system.
- Coordinate and conduct test & commissioning of the solar PV system.
- Weekly reporting and new project scheduling.
- To assist on the best practices and safe work procedure for every project.
- Organize a post mortem meeting for evaluation of project results, challenges faced and provide recommendations for future improvement.
- To contribute, comply and committed toward the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System by making sure it is full compliances to International Standard, Legal compliances, local regulations, and any code of practice.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor Degree in Engineering majoring in Electrical
- Basic electrical knowledge is essential
- Proficient knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Proficiency in utilizing translation software (e.g. Google Translate, Google Lens)
- Posses own transportation and willing to travel when required
- Able to work under pressure and meet project deadline when required
- Self-motivated and positive attitude with strong sense of responsibility and result oriented
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
