Project Development Manager- Macedonia

Project Development and Support

• Develop relationships with local stakeholders and coordinate project work with local developers.

• Lead the activities for land acquisition/lease/easement process for the Project in coordination with the advisers and Delivery and Operations, and Investment teams, including but not limited to landowners’ identification and negotiations, attendance to meeting with local stakeholders, etc.

• Communicate with utilities and authorities having jurisdictions regarding interconnection (TSO), permitting, and other regulatory compliance issues.

• Identify the sources of likely problems, proactively take preventive measures to avoid potential project risks, and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact.

• Follow up and progress permitting process for the Project.

• Provide support to the Delivery and Operations team in activities related to wind measurement campaigns, including the installation, maintenance, and data validation of wind masts, to ensure reliable and bankable wind resource assessment for the project.

• Identify the critical path and key milestones for the project's success in an effective way

• Provide support with identification of local suppliers and service providers required for the project.

• In coordination with the investment and Delivery and Operations management team, design action plans to address any project development activity,

• Identify, communicate and suggest mitigation actions with regards to project risks at any stage of development.

• Review and interpretation of any local language document relevant to the Client’s renewable energy projects.

• Review and comment on any project related contract in North Macedonia. 

• Participate and monitor stakeholder engagement plans.

• Support with monitoring of local activities like designs performed by local companies, site surveys, 3rd party visits and audits etc.

• Apply internal policies and procedures.

Origination and greenfield activates

• Facilitate and attend meetings with potential partners, developers, advisors, and any other institution as may be required for the existing project, or new business opportunities that are aligned to Alcazar Energy’s business strategy.

• Be knowledgeable of regulatory frameworks, local regulations, permits, authorisations and any other consents required for the development of renewable energy projects.

• Lead the identification of potential new sites for greenfield development and coordinate required tasks to initiate assessment and progress of greenfield development Projects in the Country.

Qualifications, Experience & Job Specific Skills

Qualification:

• Engineering Degree and / or Business Administration or Economics.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role and at least 7 years of total working experience.

• Experience in the Energy and/or Construction Business, preferable in the Renewable Energy Business.

Job Specific Skills:

• Knowledge of the renewable energy/construction industry in North Macedonia.

• Knowledge of relevant industry players i.e. developers, consultants, service providers.

• Commercial and financial acumen.

• Advanced interpersonal skills.

• §Fluency in written / spoken Macedonian, Serbian and English languages.

• Active driver
