Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Fluent understanding of mechanical systems and programming sequences, airflow distribution and Building Management Systems.
- Perform and lead preliminary and conceptual engineering tasks, including energy analysis and modeling.
- Conduct and lead ASHRAE Level I and Level II energy audits.
- Support business development activities as a subject matter expert that lead to awarded contracts, including client relationship building, project positioning, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, and oral presentations.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Project® for project scheduling and all related Project Development activities.
- Extract, analyze, and prepare utility data from customer bills for energy modeling and business case preparation.
- Perform custom engineering calculations and energy modeling using eQuest or Trane Trace 3D® and quality check energy models created by others.
- Lead implementation and commissioning teams by providing required information and data to successfully complete projects.
- Apply subject matter expert knowledge of mission-critical systems and terminology to build customer confidence during energy audits, client engagements, and Project Development.
- Solve complex problems during energy audits, recommending unique and creative solutions.
- Lead a team in the timely delivery of project deliverables and adherence to development schedules.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new and emerging technologies for use in future projects.
- Perform all duties in alignment with the Company’s vision, purpose, quality objectives, and established policies and procedures.
- Travel is a required component of this role and will be necessary to meet job responsibilities.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Demonstrates a strong level of comfort and knowledge in telecom and Data Center environments.
- Applicable Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or a minimum of 8 years’ experience is required.
- Additional project development, engineering, and energy related professional certifications are a plus (e.g. LEED-AP, CEM, DBIA, etc.)
- Five or more years of progressive project development or implementation experience.
- Strong initiative, and interpersonal communications skills required and ability to collaborate with others.
- Demonstrates strong engineering and analytical acumen to develop complex solutions and build credibility.
- Experience working on complex projects and interdisciplinary teams of professionals.
- Moderate regional travel required with possibility of limited national travel. Ability to travel 30 – 50% of the time.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables, including managing others and delegating tasks to complete projects on time.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service in a highly dynamic growth environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work environment.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software, trend analysis reporting, L1 Energy Audit Report generation, CxAlloy software, and Functional Performance Testing.
- Fluent in the energy efficiency field working in telecom and data center environments with the ability to quality check team members’ work.
