What will you do?
In this position you will play an integral part in a team of specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients across all types of projects - including significant infrastructure projects.
We have an immediate vacancy for a Project Cost Controller, Project Services, who in this role will be responsible for supporting Project Managers and project teams in the delivery of accurate financial control, project administration, and cost management services. You will provide project financial support across the project lifecycle, ensuring project costs, invoicing, forecasting, reconciliations, and reporting activities are completed accurately and on time. You will also work closely with key stakeholders to maintain financial visibility, support decision-making, and contribute to successful project outcomes.

Below are some of the things you will be doing to support “bringing ideas to life”

  • Supporting Project Managers with project financial administration, tracking budgets, costs, commitments, and forecasts.
  • Preparing and maintaining project financial reports, cost forecasts, and project performance data.
  • Assisting with monthly project reconciliations, invoicing processes, and monitoring project variations.
  • Ensuring project financial information is accurate, current, and aligned with business and client requirements.
  • Updating Project Managers and stakeholders on project financial status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Supporting project setup, budgeting, and financial governance processes within company systems.
  • Maintaining project records and documentation within relevant project management platforms.
  • Collaborating with project teams to improve financial controls, reporting accuracy, and project performance.
  • Managing multiple project priorities while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and financial controls.
  • Building effective working relationships with Project Managers, finance teams, and other key stakeholders.

What can you bring to the team?

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience across project cost control, project administration, or project services support roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, invoicing, and reconciliation activities.
  • Experience working with Contruent or similar project controls and cost management systems.
  • Experience supporting Project Managers with project financial reporting and project performance monitoring.
  • Experience with ProjectWise, Primavera P6, Workday, and Microsoft Office applications will be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of project controls principles, financial reporting, and project governance processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across project teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced project environment.

Skills Required
