We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Cost Analyst to join our team at K&A Engineering in Syracuse, New York. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:
- Analyze budget and forecast variances.
- Assist with preparing forecasts by analyzing project spending, accruals, purchase orders and cashflows.
- Support project meetings and work with team members on project activities.
- Support Project Managers with the preparation of financial documentation.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to implement project management best practices throughout the project lifecycle related to cashflow, estimating, forecasting and all aspects of costs associated with projects.
- Assist with providing input to annual budget and five-year plans.
- Assist with the processing of financial transfer and adjustment documentation.
- Support Project Managers with the monthly accrual process, including submittal of required accrual information to the NY Electric Business and other stakeholder groups.
What we’re looking for:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in one of the above or related fields.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in one or more of the following or related fields: Cost analytics, finance, program management, project management, accounting, or operations.
- Experience working with cost tracking analysis, forecasting, budgets, and accounting principles is a must.
- Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with stakeholders positively and collaboratively.
- Demonstrate a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel.
Pay Range $100,000-$115,000.00/yearly
