As a Project Coordinator at Marcel Digital, you’ll support the successful delivery of web development and digital services projects while building the skills needed to independently manage projects over time.
You’ll work closely with senior project managers, subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to coordinate timelines, track progress, and maintain clear communication across stakeholders. This role is designed for someone early in their career who is eager to learn how high-performing web and digital services projects are planned and delivered.
You’ll manage small projects to begin, and over time, you’ll take on increasing ownership of mid-size projects and increase client interactions as your confidence and capabilities grow.
Role DescriptionProject Coordination & SupportSupport the execution of web development and digital services projects by helping manage budget, scope and timelines, tracking deliverables, and ensuring tasks move forward. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects organized and on track.
Client CommunicationParticipate in client communications both individually and alongside senior team members. You’ll help document discussions, follow up on action items, and gradually build confidence in leading portions of client interactions.
Planning & Task ManagementAssist in translating project requirements into actionable tasks. You’ll help maintain project plans, support the creation of monthly tasks, keep tools up to date, and ensure team members have clarity on next steps. You’re more than just a traffic cop, you understand the requests to drive work forward and actively manage them through completion and delivery.
Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with developers, designers, and marketing teams to understand how web projects come together. You’ll build familiarity with each discipline and how they contribute to successful delivery.
Process AdherenceFollow established project management and agile workflows. As you gain experience, you’ll contribute ideas to improve how projects are managed and delivered.
Risk AwarenessLearn to identify potential risks or blockers and escalate them appropriately. You don’t need to solve everything, but you should know when something needs attention.
Transparency & ReportingHelp maintain visibility into project status by updating tools, preparing status updates, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Qualifications & Ideal Fit- One to three years of experience in project coordination, digital marketing, web development, or similar environment
- Exposure to web development and/or digital services projects, professional experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced agency environment
- Demonstrate a genuine curiosity for how our agency operates and understanding our client needs and business goals
- Growth-minded and eager to leverage AI to improve day-to-day efficiency and productivity
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with guidance
- Familiarity with project management tools (ClickUp, Workfront, Jira, or similar) is a plus
- Basic understanding of web development concepts (CMS platforms, front-end/back-end roles) is a plus
- Basic understanding of paid media channels and/or SEO/AEO is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Knowledge of Nicolas Cage a plus
