As the Project Coordinator, you will work with vendors and trauma system partners to coordinate, implement, and support statewide MOCC operations, serving as a liaison to enhance trauma care coordination and quality improvement across hospitals in Indiana.

Job Description

CAI is hiring! We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team for a full-time opportunity that is hybrid (3 days/week onsite) in Indianapolis, IN 46204. The selected candidate  will be responsible for working with the contracted vendor and trauma system partners to coordinate the planning, development, and ongoing implementation of the statewide MOCC (Medical Operations Coordination Center). The selected candidate will serve as a liaison and provide technical assistance for all MOCC related activities focused on improving the coordination of trauma care across Indiana’s trauma system. This position will also help to support regional coordination of care and quality improvement within both trauma and non-trauma hospitals statewide via MOCC operations.
What You’ll Do

  • Manages and provides oversight for the Rural Health Transformation Program Initiative 1 –MOCC implementation

  • Coordinates stakeholder engagement for MOCC development

  • Collaborates and assists MOCC leadership regarding operational needs including software interoperability and communication resources

  • Facilitates and assists with strategic planning for MOCC development and implementation

  • Provides guidance and assistance with MOCC hiring/staffing and other personnel needs, as applicable

  • Acts as a liaison between MOCC leadership and stakeholders across the continuum of care (including but not limited to hospital, EMS, rehab, 911/public safety, urgent care, behavioral health, etc.)

  • Advances understanding and engagement with hospitals, EMS, 911/public safety partners and MOCC operations statewide

  • Works with state agencies to advance MOCC model and increase participation and utilization

  • Incorporates interpersonal skills in communication with agency personnel, colleagues, and stakeholders

  • Collaborates with trauma stakeholders including the Indiana Trauma Care Commission and Subcommittees and EMS Commission for updates on progress and solution generation

  • Provides necessary documentation and reporting based on federal grant guidelines

  • Performs related duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, or related health field of study OR current/former certification EMR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, or other Public Safety professional such as 911 or dispatch telecommunications

  • Previous experience working with health care/EMS/911/public safety databases

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, experience with project management and system design

  • Possess significant process and people skills to appropriately perform the duties of the position

  • Highly motivated and able to take initiative and think outside the box

  • Ability to work closely with colleagues to identify system-related problems and to provide quality customer service

  • Ability to guide and coordinate the work of others including appointed staff and contractors

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to teach others and respond to stakeholder questions

  • Demonstrated ability to work strategically and collaboratively

  • Knowledge of computer hardware/software capabilities and configurations within hospital, EMS, 911/public safety environment

  • DB administration and/or system software such as communication, storage management, operating systems or capacity planning

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Understanding of the importance of data quality improvement and informed-decision making

Preferred

  • Master’s degree preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work involving sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

  • In-state travel may be required

$21 - $26 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
