Project Coordinator

JOB OVERVIEW

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating various projects within CGI. The incumbent will work with members from various organizations, as well as key suppliers to ensure timely completion of all tasks required to support assigned project.  This role will monitor project achievements related to critical milestones, and takes corrective actions as necessary, in order to meet project milestones.  

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates and establishes project plans for assigned projects in cooperation with all stakeholders involved.

• Assist management at all levels in developing programs, or run assigned projects to completion.

• Monitors status of key deliverables.  Involves appropriate management when necessary to ensure necessary resources are available to achieve target dates.

• Works with stakeholders to resolve unexpected events as necessary, while ensuring successful deliverable dates occur as scheduled. 

• Acts as liaison between all internal departments to resolve issues relating to the assigned project.

• Coordinates cross-functional team meetings as needed and maintains all documentation, in support of the assigned project. 

• Coordinate presentations and department meetings.

• Provide project support for various departments as needed.

• Special projects as assigned.

·         Ability to prioritize tasks and break down larger objectives into a work plan.

·         Strong sense of accountability and ownership, excellent attention to detail and good record keeping critical.

·         Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to interface with all levels of the organization to achieve assigned objectives in a cross-functional team-based environment.

·         Proficiency with MS Office software applications and all relevant internal company systems (SAP, TeamCenter, etc.)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

•   High School diploma or BA/BS strongly preferred.  Equivalent relevant experience may substitute.
•   Minimum 2 years of relevant project team-based work experience.
•     Formal project management education and experience strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (if applicable)

• Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.

• Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business related machines and software.
