About the role

Project Coordinator – Tomago BESS Construction Project

Location: Melbourne, VIC
Project Site: Newcastle, NSW
Type: Full-time, Flexible, hybrid role with some travel to Newcastle, NSW required.

At AGL, we’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to support the delivery of the Tomago Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction project.

Based in Melbourne, you’ll play a key role in keeping the project team organised, informed, and on track to achieve our renewable construction projects.

• Coordinate project meetings, stakeholder workshops, and Steering Committees.

• Maintain project documentation, electronic filing systems, and document control.

• Track invoices, raise purchase orders, and manage reporting inputs.

• Liaise with internal teams (Legal, H&S, Environment, Procurement) and external stakeholders.

• Organise travel, accommodation, and catering for project team members.

• Support the implementation of project governance frameworks and lifecycle plans.

• Assist with formatting reports, presentations, and stakeholder communications.

You’re a skilled project administrator with a passion for project coordination and stakeholder engagement. You enjoy a fast-paced environment and know how to keep things running smoothly.

• Experience in project or risk support, ideally on large or complex projects.

• Fantastic organisational and time management skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Experience with project management tools and methodologies (desirable but not necessary).

• You have supported multiple external and internal stakeholders.
