Job Description

Job Position: Project Coordinator

Division / Function: Project & installation

Location: Abuja

Reporting Manager: Project Director

Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator supports the Project Director in organizing and tracking project activities, maintaining documentation, and ensuring timely communication across teams. The role involves coordinating meetings, monitoring budgets, and preparing reports while ensuring compliance with project standards and company values. This position plays a key role in keeping projects on schedule and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project management related inquiries
  • Support the Project Manager in the creation of project plans, timelines, and status reports.
  • Coordinate project meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and follow-up.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project team members and other support functions.
  • Coordinate with Project team and update project activity.
  • Escalate risks and concerns to the Project Manager as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Keep record and monitoring of project budgets and expenses.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
  • File documents in physical and digital records.
  • Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed.
  • Ensure implementation checklists and HSE & quality compliances.
  • Maintain organizational core values.

 

    Qualifications

    Required Skills & Attributes

    • 3+ years proven experience in a project Coordination or similar role
    • Experience with Agile methodology
    • Experience working in a PMO environment.
    • Proven track record of successful project delivery
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project and Microsoft Planner
    • Understand civil, mechanical, and electrical drawings Documents.
    • An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or related field
    • PMP / PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
    • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
    • Advanced MS Excel skills
    • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.

    Additional Information

    Location and Travel

    • This role is based in Abuja, Nigeria.
    • Will be required to work from rural areas and plant sites.

    Salary: Negotiable based on candidates experience
