Summary
Hitachi America Ltd. is searching for a Project Coordinator to join the Particle Therapy Systems Division.
Per direction of the Division Director/Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will support the sales function and the project execution of Particle Beam Therapy (PBT) business in North America. PBT is a type of radiotherapy for cancer treatment. The position requires proficiency in English and Japanese. Additional experience in sales, marketing or project execution is desired.
Responsibilities

Proactive coordination between the customer and engineering/project development team in Japan on technical, building construction and commercial aspects

Prepare proposal offer to the customer

Help to establish site office and organization

Participate in relevant industry and professional associations and attend related technical conferences

Collaborate with colleagues to prepare required documentation for the PBT business including translation of technical literature and operations & maintenance manuals etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field is required
-
2+ years of experience in working on large scale projects including construction is required.

Capable of working independently as well as a part of cross-functional team
-
Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation) and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work well with various personnel demonstrating a good attitude and function in a multi-cultural dynamic work environment

Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally

Basic knowledge of MS office and latest PC technology

Strong interest in high technology and willingness to learn is expected

Proficiency in Japanese is required

For California only (as required by California’s Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act (SB 1162): The expected salary for this position in our California office is $48,712 - $60,890. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi America’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
