ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Exercise discretion and judgment and apply project management principles to meet project challenges.

• Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements.

• Assist the Project Manager (PM) in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, request for proposals, and

preliminary schedules.

• Keep the PM and management informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.

• Prepare project organization and communication charts.

• Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines and trades.

• Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.

• Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team.

• Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project.

• Review and evaluate the merit of change orders for all projects and discuss them with the Project Manager.

• Monitor subcontractor progress including invoices.

• Work with the PM to identify staffing needs for projects.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Duties are largely performed in an office setting.

• Office work may include prolonged seated tasks, extended keyboarding, and use of computer screen.

• May be requested to work overtime and weekends.

• Position may require travel (expected to be less than 30%); valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV record

required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use stairs, use hands, reach, talk and hear.

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25

pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability

to adjust focus.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of project planning methodologies such as critical path planning.

• The ability to accurately review and complete detail-oriented information and projects.

• The ability to conceptualize and organize the project planning process.

• Advanced knowledge in the field of energy infrastructure.

• The ability to take responsibility and function under minimal supervision.

• Capacity to conduct and participate in meetings with senior management.

• Familiarity with industry codes and standards.

• Goal and action oriented; takes project setbacks in stride, and acts on opportunities as they present themselves

to add value to the project and the client.

• Must have excellent computer/internet skills and a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel,

PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree with courses or educational credits in industry specific curriculum.

• 3-5 years of experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of development projects.

• Experience with Microsoft Project a plus.

• CAPM certificate preferred.


Pay Range: 55,100-82,600
