A Day in the LifeAre you passionate about contributing to innovative therapies that improve and save lives? As a Project Coordinator (PCIV) within Medtronic's Interventional Cardiology Therapies (ICT) Clinical Research team, you will play a key role in supporting global clinical trials that advance breakthrough treatments for patients worldwide. Working alongside experienced clinical research professionals, you will help support efficient study operations, coordinate key study activities, and contribute to the successful achievement of clinical milestones. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to complex international research programs and make a meaningful impact on the development of life-changing cardiovascular therapies.Interventional Cardiology Therapies (ICT) brings together Medtronic's Structural Heart, Coronary, and Renal Denervation businesses—three areas at the forefront of cardiovascular innovation. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions and functions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The position offers the opportunity to work on a global clinical study while building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders worldwide. You will report into the ICT Clinical Affairs organization and play an important role in supporting the successful execution of studies from start-up through completion.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Create, maintain, and organize clinical trial documentation and study files in accordance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and Medtronic procedures
- Coordinate the collection, tracking, and filing of Ethics Committee and Competent Authority submissions, study reports, and other essential trial documentation
- Support study operations using clinical systems including Medidata Rave (electronic data capture (EDC) platform), Siebel Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), and Veeva Vault
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate study activities, communicate study updates, and support timely completion of action items
- Assist with quality reviews and audits of clinical study documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and inspection readiness
- Support Clinical Research Specialists with operational tasks including site compliance tracking, training coordination, study communications, and investigator payment activities
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of processes, tools, and procedures that support efficient clinical trial execution
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience supporting clinical research, clinical trials, healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance in documentation and processes
- Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ISO 14155, and clinical research regulations, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge
We value experience with clinical trial systems such as CTMS, electronic data capture (EDC) platforms, and document management systems, or similar technologies. Exposure to global clinical studies or collaboration within international project teams is also advantageous. Additionally, a genuine interest in exploring process automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and other digital tools to improve efficiency and streamline ways of working is highly appreciated.
