We are looking for a talented Project Coordinator - Sales to join our team specializing in Sales for Cummins, Inc. in Dallas, TX.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Act as a key resource on project assignments, applying foundational project management and business knowledge. 
  • Identify, track, and collaborate with others to resolve project-related issues. 
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to the project team. 
  • Support budget planning, budget tracking, research, and analytical tasks.

  • Maintain project documentation, databases, and records, and keep the Project Manager informed on assigned tasks and metrics.
Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following: 

  • Communicates effectively - Tailor your communication style for different audiences (leaders, team members, vendors, cross‑functional partners). Provide clear, timely updates that help others make decisions quickly. Simplify complex information so everyone understands project status, needs, and next steps.
  • Project Issue and Risk Management - Identify risks early and escalating issues before they become blockers. Use structured tools (risk logs, impact assessments, action trackers) to stay organized. Lead follow‑up actions to reduce impacts and keep work moving forward.
  • Project Management - Keep scope, schedule, and resources in balance. Coordinate tasks, timelines, and dependencies across teams. Ensure project deliverables produce the intended impact once completed.
  • Project Scope Management - Track deliverables and ensuring the team stays focused on required work only. Document changes and align stakeholders. Keep everyone clear on what’s in‑scope and what’s not.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required. 
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 
  • Minimal level of relevant work experience required.

Additional Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities

  • Supports delivery of assigned projects or workstreams under the guidance of a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, with accountability for defined tasks, milestones, and documentation.
  • Executes standard project management activities including schedule updates, backlog maintenance, status reporting, and coordination of internal actions.
  • Serves as a day‑to‑day point of contact for routine project communications, escalating risks, issues, or scope changes as required.

Skills Education, or Experience Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of project management concepts and lifecycle, with the ability to apply standard tools, templates, and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage priorities, and meet commitments in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in project management, engineering, business, or a related field.

Skill, Education, or Experience Preferences that are nice to have but not required.

  • Prior experience supporting projects in a coordinator, analyst, or assistant PM role.
  • Exposure to enterprise project management systems used for scheduling, forecasting, or reporting.
