Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution and Monitoring: Oversee all New Product Development (NPD) projects under brake and tag axle verticals for domestic and non-Meritor export customers.
  • Objective Establishment: Analyze functional requirements from customers to establish product program objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineering, purchasing, marketing, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop product specifications that meet customer requirements.
  • Project Support: Serve as a resource on projects and work assignments, employing basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, track, and collaborate with others to resolve project issues.
  • Status Monitoring: Monitor and communicate project status to the project team.
  • Budget and Planning: Assist with budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support; provide input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.
  • Risk Management: Assist with managing project risk using quality tools to identify areas of risk.
  • Documentation: Maintain project notes, databases, and other records; monitor measures and communicate with the Project Manager on the status of specific projects and assignments.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Document and share team learnings with other teams; draw on other experiences to enhance the success of the project.
*Qualifications and Competencies  

Experience

  • 5 years of experience directly related to program/project management or equivalent work.
  • Certifications: PMP Certification (Preferred).

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Skills:

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and SAP.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with a preference for PMP certification.
