The Marketing & Communications Project Coordinator supports the Marketing & Communications Manager and team in coordinating and executing marketing and communications projects across Messiah Lifeways. This position translates project goals and deadlines for the Marketing & Communications team into actionable timelines, tasks, and deliverables; tracks progress; coordinates follow-up; and helps ensure projects move forward accurately and efficiently. 

The position also supports day-to-day marketing execution, including social media, coordinating/assisting with email and website updates, proofreading and occasional writing, templated design, event-related marketing logistics, and coordination with established vendors. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Coordinate marketing and communications projects from assignment through completion, including developing timelines, tracking tasks and deadlines, and proactively following up on outstanding items. 

  • Maintain the department’s project and task management system and help identify potential conflicts, gaps, and overdue work. 

  • Develop project timelines by working backward from established deadlines and identifying necessary steps, responsible parties, review periods, and due dates. 

  • Support social media scheduling, email communications, website updates, newsletters, internal communications, and marketing collateral. 

  • Assist with proofreading, editing, content coordination, and basic updates to templated marketing materials. 

  • Coordinate event-related marketing logistics, including promotional materials, signage, invitations, registration forms, social media, photography, and other communications needs. 

  • Coordinate routine website updates and project details with established vendors, including communicating requests, reviewing completed work, and following up as needed. 

  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to keep projects moving and ensure materials are accurate, timely, and aligned with Messiah Lifeways brand and messaging. 

About the Role 

This is an in-person position based on the Messiah Village Campus in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will bring strong organizational and coordination skills, sound judgment, initiative, and a commitment to accurate, professional, and mission-aligned communications and marketing materials. 

This position works very closely with the full Marketing & Communications team, offering the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of marketing and communications projects across Messiah Lifeways.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For 

  • Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 

  • A proactive, collaborative self-starter who can anticipate needs, identify potential issues, determine next steps, and work independently while knowing when to seek input. 

  • Strong project coordination, writing, editing, proofreading, documentation, and follow-up skills. 

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people across departments and with external vendors and partners. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, website content management systems, email marketing platforms, social media platforms, project management systems, and other digital tools. 

  • Ability to leverage artificial intelligence tools to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field; or Associate’s degree in a related field with relevant professional experience. 

  • Two to three years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, project coordination, or a related field preferred.
