HealthPartners is hiring a Project Coordinator - IT. This role helps support IT projects across care delivery, health plan systems, and technology infrastructure by keeping work organized and moving forward. Under moderate supervision, the Project Coordinator helps maintain project documents, schedules, and trackers, and supports meetings and tasks outlined in a project plan. The role may also be responsible for completing specific project tasks or deliverables and seeing them through to completion.
The Project Coordinator assists with day-to-day project activities, helps track progress across teams, and flags when additional follow‑up or support may be needed. This role also supports team members who are helping manage projects as part of their operational work by assisting with status updates, communications, and basic project tracking so work stays on schedule.
A basic understanding of technology concepts, such as computers, systems, and how teams work together in a technical environment, is helpful for following project discussions and understanding assigned work. Overall, this role focuses on taking assigned tasks, completing them responsibly, and working closely with Project Managers and team members to help projects meet agreed‑upon goals and timelines.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Enterprise Systems and Services and is part of a high‑performing team of approximately twenty professionals, including people leaders, project managers, and analysts. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with leaders and technical teams across HealthPartners to drive complex work that supports the organization’s mission and long‑term strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Three (3) years of project coordination experience, including at least two (2) years within an Information Technology environment.
- Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Working knowledge of project management software tools (Clarity, Microsoft Project)
- Customer Service Oriented
- Experience working within a technical environment and communicating with technical and business customers.
- Ability to manage high degree of change and be flexible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A certificate from a 6- to 12-month IT technical program or related experience
Hours/Location:
- M-F; core business hours
- Hybrid role requiring the ability to work onsite at the Bloomington office or other HealthPartners locations, with onsite frequency varying based on organizational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates project tasks to achieve defined deliverables.
- Compiles documentation for project-related meetings; may facilitate meetings and ensure appropriate communications are provided.
- Produces reports as defined by IT’s Project Methodology; ensuring the appropriate required documentation is captured.
- Assists with coordination aspects of a Project including initiation, planning, organization, risk assessment, scope definition, and project closure.
- Identifies variances between planned and actual project performance.
- May be responsible for coordinating key deliverable(s) within project phases.
- Assists Project Manager(s) with analyzing project data, dependencies, trends, and resources.
