Why we love working at PIE:

PIE is a leading business development partner for professional services firms, creating global connections with a distinctly human touch. We provide excellent service for our clients and partners and pride ourselves on delivering the lagniappe (the little extra in a baker’s dozen!). The work we do every day is fascinating - we drive meaningful, intimate conversations among leaders in business, non-profits, and non-government organizations looking to solve their most pressing challenges and learn from peers. Our mission is to make the world smaller and smarter by connecting powerful minds.

Our people are the heart of our business and culture. We are an inclusive, employee-owned company. We come from all over the country and across the state of Montana. We are a community of unique individuals with many lived experiences: former legislators, ski racers, movie producers, Peace Corp volunteers, marketing leaders, and teachers. We are a team of curious self-starters who love to learn. Our culture of belonging invites all our unique experiences to the table, where we innovate, problem-solve, and share a passion for doing great work while living full lives. We work as a team to support each other’s passions and ambitions, both in and out of work. In addition to offering competitive benefits, PIE values and invests in its employees’ health and well-being. We are committed to ongoing education, career development, and training. To nourish our culture and build relationships, PIE holds several annual company gatherings/outings. PIE cares about the communities we live in: we participate in events and programs to strengthen our commitment to inclusivity, engaging in community outreach and volunteering with organizations that support the Gallatin Valley.

PIE’s commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity:

PIE is committed to creating an equitable, inclusive, diverse and sustainable work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, marital status, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, political affiliation, or veteran status.

We believe that corporations’ bad behavior disproportionately hurts the most marginalized people in society — including people of color, women, and LGBTQ+ people. We believe efforts to make our company more diverse, equitable, and inclusive are central to the success of our business. We strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities.

Position Description:

Project Coordinators (PC) provide administrative support for PIE projects and are critical to member engagement and client success, ensuring information is accurate and deadlines are met. A PC is a can-do partner with a keen eye for detail and hunger for data accuracy. They provide logistical and scheduling support to project teams. This role is

primarily focused on building and maintaining PIE’s executive roundtable communities for C-level executives on a global scale. While most of the PC’s work supports the delivery of peer communities, the role may also include

assignments across PIE’s other client service offerings, such as business development training programs or client advisory boards. In addition, Project Coordinators are responsible for driving membership growth by directly sourcing and reaching out to prospective executive community members, developing tailored outreach strategies, and crafting communications that successfully convert target executives into engaged participants.

This role is adaptive, requiring the ability to pivot between priorities and/or changing business needs. As you grow in the role, the expectation is that you engage with client stakeholders as part of the team-based management style adopted at PIE. Project Coordinators may engage with CFOs, COOs, and CMOs, among other functions from companies such as Coca-Cola, Amazon, John Deere, Pfizer, Oracle, and Goldman Sachs daily. PIE works on behalf of the world’s most renowned professional service firms including Accenture, Boston Consulting Group, IBM, and KPMG.

Breakdown of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide project-centric support to our PIE consultants across multiple projects, stakeholders, and responsibilities
  • Research and source executive contact information
  • Build and maintain membership of PIE communities by recruiting executives via phone and email outreach
  • Communicate with C-suite executives worldwide and their offices to schedule appointments
  • Manage logistics for virtual client roundtables, training programs, and live events
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed database of client information via Salesforce CRM software, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Participate in client calls and provide project/membership updates
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with project teams, client teams, and community members to build strong client relationships, drive community engagement, and meet client expectations
  • Create and prepare presentation decks, reports, and documents for external distribution to clients, members, and internal operating teams
  • Contribute to internal initiatives with a solutions-oriented approach (e.g. research projects, company culture and team building, internal training sessions)
  • Assist with follow-up to secure sales meetings as needed
  • At PIE we all wear many hats: other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

We are looking for motivated individuals who embrace responsibility, have a keen eye for detail, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and perform well under pressure. To succeed in this role, individuals must be efficient, highly organized, proactive, and adaptable. Project Coordinators are eager to learn and improve organizational efficiency, enjoy working autonomously, and are not afraid to pick up the phone and call an executive office anywhere in the world.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate professionally with senior executives and internal teams. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple deadlines and shifting priorities across several projects. Successful candidates will have a collaborative spirit, a solution-oriented mindset, and a willingness to contribute to client and internal initiatives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Salesforce are preferred. PIE operates on Microsoft 365 platforms. If you meet at least 75% of the qualifications, we strongly encourage you to apply, let’s talk!
