About the job:As a Senior Project Controls Engineer, you will be a key member in ensuring precision and control in one of Europe’s most ambitious infrastructure projects. At Start Campus, we are not just building data centers; we are constructing Europe’s most sustainable data center. You will be responsible for managing the commercial and scheduling aspects of the projects, ensuring that all work stays on track in terms of time, budget, and execution.
You will report directly to the Head of Design & Delivery and collaborate closely with teams to ensure all tasks related to construction and infrastructure are on schedule. Your role will involve preparing capital and lifecycle estimates, reviewing cost planning, monitoring schedule submissions, and identifying risks to ensure that the projects meet performance expectations.
Responsibilities:- Preparing capital and lifecycle estimates
- Provide input on tendering procedures and results
- Review PMO cost planning
- Review of contractor and vendor pay applications, as recommended by the PMO
- Monitor and report on P6 schedule submissions, Level 3 to level 5, from the PMO and contractors.
- Understand critical path and key risks.
- Provides performance updates / reports views for identification of variances and corrective action
- Regular reporting on all the above
- Estimating/quantity surveying qualification 5-8 years’ experience
- Be proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling tools with project experience
- Good organisational skills and ability to produce accurate work to deadlines
- Data Center or complex projects experience in similar roles.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while prioritizing work efficiently.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes, procedures, and equipment.
- Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency of Portuguese and English (being the day-to-day preferred language)
