Job Description
The Project Controls Manager is well-versed in both scheduling and cost control activities on projects and is responsible for reporting to project staff, management, and leadership on all cost issues, reports and strategy, and developing project-specific tactics, process and procedures to address the needs of the project as it evolves over time. This position is responsible for interacting and reviewing data required of and produced by subcontractors for the project(s) assigned and be able to summarize so Project Management can review.
Responsibilities
Project Controls
· Monitor, track, and analyze budgets and costs
· Provide statistical analysis that will stand as an indicator of project health, trends, and potential risks and opportunities
· Support and advise project cost control staff
· Check and test cost-related information and data
· Dispute prevention & on-site dispute resolution
· Responsible for forecasting labor, material, and equipment
· Monitor PMWeb (project management system) for data accuracy and integrity in line with budget and schedule constraints
· Track scope variance log in correlation with change order requests
· Coordinate with scheduling resource to discuss the relationship between schedule updates and costs
· Ensure change orders are accounted for and entered into the schedule
· Conduct technical meetings with internal and external representatives to discuss project controls issues and topics
· Advise on management of risks that may affect project profit, costs, schedules, and client relations
Management
· Provide support and guidance for development of project controls staff
· Manage project control personnel assigned to projects
Qualifications
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Construction or Engineering
· 10 years’ experience with mid to large-size, multi-phase construction projects
· Needs to be capable of providing independent, objective support to project teams
· Strong communication and management skills in working with internal and external parties
· OSHA 30 certification
