GHD has a new job opportunity! We are looking for a Project Control Engineer. This role will be responsible for the planning and control of engineering projects, supporting the generation of payment statements, managing project changes, creating dashboards, and assisting in the development of performance indicators and monitoring project progress.
The Project Control Engineer will work closely with the Technical and PMO teams.
Main Functions and Responsibilities:
• Assisting project managers in reviewing project configurations.
• Experience in generating and updating work schedules and curve generation, which can be done in Project or Primavera.
• Critical path analysis and review.
• Preparation of resource leveling and recovery and acceleration plans.
• Preparing cash flow projections for the services to be monitored.
• Generating, reviewing, and/or adjusting the budget in the company's ERP system.
• Preparing weekly and/or monthly reports, indicating, among other things, the main project updates.
• Generating and managing the approval of the corresponding Payment Request.
• Experience in controlling cost and time variances and generating the corresponding contingency plans.
• Experience in engineering companies is preferred but not required.
• Fully understanding the project scope and contractual requirements, identifying key milestones, and establishing clear priorities for the project team. • Lead coordination and planning meetings with the PMO team and technical specialists
• Ability to lead teams of young professionals when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Professional degree in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field with experience in engineering project control in the mining sector; construction experience is desirable but not required.
• 5-8 years of experience in Project Control
• Advanced proficiency in Dashboards; Excel; Power BI for reporting is desirable.
High proficiency in English
• Knowledge and skills in Primavera (P6) and MS Project.
