The Project Controls Administrator has established Controls skills to perform various day-to-day activities. The Project Controls Administrator can recognize and solve typical Project Controls problems with limited supervisory approval. Their work directly impacts their team through the quality of the services or information provided.
ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective project controls systems and processes for engineering procurement construction and installation (EPCI) projects
- Collaborate with project teams to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with organizational objectives
- Monitor and analyze project progress, identifying any deviations from planned schedules, costs, and quality metrics
- Conduct regular project performance reviews, providing accurate and timely status reports to stakeholders
- Implement risk management techniques to identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues
- Ensure adherence to project controls policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and promote collaboration between teams
- Support project managers in resource allocation, budget forecasting, and cost control activities
- Utilize project management software/tools to track project data, produce analytical reports, and improve overall project performance
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project controls staff to enhance their skills and competencies
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Solid understanding of project controls principles and practices within th EPCI industry
- Proficient in utilizing project management software to track and manage project controls data
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex project data and generate meaningful insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of industry-specific terminology, regulations, and standards governing EPCI projects
- Familiarity with cost estimation techniques, scheduling methodologies, and risk management processes within the EPCI industry
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and address potential project control issues before they escalate
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
