Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Control Officer (PCO) to support the coordination, planning, communication, and execution of project deliverables within a large-scale technology modernization initiative. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure project activities, documentation, reporting, and governance processes are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to project managers and project teams in coordinating, planning, communicating, and executing project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with various groups to gather project updates and maintain:
    • Project budgeting information
    • Progress reports
    • Action items
    • Risk management updates
  • Work alongside project managers to provide project updates, escalate issues when required, identify risks, and support project document deliverables.
  • Support business analysis activities and maintain communication with end users and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and track User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
  • Maintain high-level requirements documentation.
  • Develop project status reports and maintain status reporting logs.
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings.
  • Monitor project document repositories and ensure all documentation is reviewed, maintained, and properly organized.

Required Qualifications

General Skills (70%)

  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups to gather updates and maintain project budgeting, progress reporting, action items, and risk management documentation.
  • Experience supporting project managers through reporting, risk identification, escalation, and project documentation activities.
  • Experience performing business analysis activities and communicating with end users and stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating and tracking User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
  • Experience maintaining requirements and project documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a professional environment supporting project managers and critical projects.
  • Experience developing project status reports and maintaining status reporting logs.
  • Experience scheduling meetings and coordinating project activities.
  • Experience monitoring and maintaining project document repositories.

Desirable Skills (30%)

  • Demonstrated experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Planview, or equivalent solutions.
  • Understanding of project management concepts including project goals, scope, risk, stakeholder roles, planning, cost management, and quality management.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to assist with project artifacts and documentation.
  • Experience creating presentations using PowerPoint or similar presentation tools.
