Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Control Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to support business development efforts by providing input for proposals and participating in presentations, as required.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provides guidance, direction, and support or assignments to projects and proposals for the need of scheduling.
- Manages a team of project control managers and staff who are scheduling SMEs.
- Update policies and procedures related to scheduling practices, as necessary.
- Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.
- Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees.
- Recommends and oversees the customization of project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
- Supports business development efforts by providing input for proposals and participating in presentations, as required.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Serve as the lead scheduler for the Federal GBU and provide technical guidance and best practices.
- Manage LoadSpring access and a P6 license pool with Asset Management support.
- Foster relationships with other GBU PCMs and Internal Mobility to fill temporary vacancies and pop-up needs.
- Frequent travel may be necessary to fulfill client or proposal requirements.
- Assists HR/Talent Acquisition team to recruit, technical interview, hire and onboard qualified personnel.
- Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent work experience) and 20+ years of related experience, as well as several years in a managerial capacity.
- Deep understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
- Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
- Proficient PC skills including a proficiency in Project Controls Software; especially Primavera P6, MS Project and Acumen Fuse. Highly desirable to be proficient in Schedule Risk Analysis software; such as, Acumen Risk and Safran Risk.
- Certification(s) ideally pertinent to any of the above disciplines; e.g., AACE PSP, PMI-SP.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to pass required federal background checks.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience with leading scheduling and risk tools; such as, Primavera P6, MS Project, Acumen Fuse, Acumen Risk, Safran Risk, and other similar software.
- Experience with industry best-practices for scheduling and risk; e.g., GAO, DCMA.
- Ability to manage assignments and relationships of subcontractors.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain long term client relationships.
