Your Role
You are a seasoned architect and recognized technical expert with experience in high-profile, design-driven projects. As a Senior Project Architect, it's your job to lead a team of architects and designers to deliver unparalleled architectural projects. You are a technically proficient individual who enjoys working with a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem-solving and design excellence.
Sr. Project Architect must become well-versed in the Gensler design culture, CAD/Revit platforms, specifications, production & construction administration standards, and the Gensler contracts & project management standards. You can leverage your industry experience and technical acumen in leading teams and mentorship to drive team success in delivering unparalleled projects from concept through completion.
What You Will Do
Lead in client, project coordination, and general contractors, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil consultants and other consultants.
Manage client relationships and team communication regarding technical aspects of the project.
Involved in the technical aspects of projects to be sure they are in concert with project scope, design, budget, client goals, consultant coordination, and core requirements.
Coordinate the project manual and specifications.
Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's during construction.
Interact with local building and permitting officials during project permitting and construction phases.
Prepare and ensure the accuracy of technical documents.
Participate in and lead team discussions on technical and other project-related issues.
Provide mentorship and lead technical education programs for the office.
Support leadership with the technical effort of projects and ensure overall technical quality of work across different projects.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture
10+ years of project experience in an architectural practice
Demonstrated knowledge of construction, regulations, and building/zoning codes
Significant, demonstrable experience leading teams to deliver projects through all stages, including Construction Administration
Experience with Revit, Rhino, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office
Proven knowledge of construction codes and regulations
Experience leading and mentoring multiple project teams in technical delivery concurrently
High-level technical skills and experience in Construction Document (drawings & specifications) preparation
Flexibility to manage concurrent projects in various stages of development
100% bilingual English/Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to lead and mentor teams
Ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new ones through strong technical delivery
Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and professionalism
