Your Role
We are seeking a Project Architect - Senior to join an exciting, large-scale, mixed-use (including: commercial, residential, cultural, transit, retail, entertainment, hospitality, education, etc.) international project, offering the opportunity to be an integrated and active member of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, working alongside multiple Gensler. This role will sit in the Chicago office. The Project Architect will lead a team of architects and designers to deliver unparalleled projects. Leverage industry experience with technical acumen to drive projects from concept through build.
What You Will Do

Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation preparation and discipline coordination with structural, MEP, VT, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants

Support daily communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials

Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions, including design resiliency expertise to resolve complex technical and design challenges

Develop and maintain project documentation, including drawings, project manuals and specifications

Conduct and document site visits, prepare field reports, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction
Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
-
10+ years of project experience in an architectural practice

Licensed or registered architect
-
LEED accreditation preferred

International design experience a plus
-
Proficient in Revit, Rhinoceros, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office.

Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures

Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of development
