Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-orientated Project Accountant to join our team. As part of the Finance Team, the Project Accountant will participate in general accounting duties such as collections, project budget set-up and other team functions. Individual must be able to make decisions, think independently, be tolerant of multiple billing formats and practices, and work well as a supporting member of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Complete general ledger & financial reporting responsibility for all aspects of A/P
- Review AR aging report on a weekly basis and contact clients as needed for outstanding invoices.
- Keep detailed collection notes and update client database.
- Verify and reconcile records and accounts.
- Work with biller to identify invoicing issues and assist in resolution of the issues.
- Complete AP checks and credit card processing.
- Complete inter-department purchasing.
- Produce weekly accounting reports.
- Create PO’s and new project setup
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Experience: 2-10 years
Location: Atlanta, GA (may become hybrid after introductory period)
Travel: 5%
