The mission of the Housing Authority of the City of Aurora (AHA) is to develop and promote quality housing while supporting and encouraging economic opportunities leading to self-sufficiency and independence. AHA accomplishes this mission by providing affordable or subsidized housing at 15 different properties, administering approximately 1700 vouchers, and offering a variety of programs with case management.

Job Description- Supports Finance Department by performing varying degrees of analysis for multiple projects that arise from the operations of the organization.
- Coordinate and manage monthly construction draw process for future real estate developments the organization is creating.
- Coordinate and manage insurance coverage for various multi-family properties.
- Coordinate and manage monthly reimbursement grants for case management and rental assistance in our homeless programs.
- Support finance department projects including but not limited to; Budget coordination, software improvements, problem solving, research, detailed analysis, financial statements, audit prep, and reconciliations
- Bachelors of Science Degree in business, accounting, or finance
- Real estate operations/development experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cost and financial accounting principals, practices, processes and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of internal control systems and procedures.
- Skill in performing complex numerical calculations.
- Strong analytical skills in reviewing financial information.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Skill in preparing complex management reports on a timely basis. Skill in the use of personal computers and related financial and statistical software products.
- Skill in verbal and written communication

What We Do
The Aurora Housing Authority (AHA) is an autonomous non-profit organization that contracts with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to administer housing assistance programs in Aurora. Its primary mission is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing for the people of the City of Aurora, supporting nearly 2,000 households through Low-Income Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Programs.
