Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Accountant with French to join our international finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and supporting the financial performance of moderately complex projects.

Working under general supervision, you will oversee project-related financial activities, prepare reports and analysis, maintain accurate accounting records, and collaborate with operational teams to support informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and accounting support for moderately complex projects.
  • Monitor project financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and areas requiring attention.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and recommendations based on findings.
  • Maintain complete and accurate accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal requirements.
  • Support project forecasting, budgeting, financial reviews, and reporting activities.
  • Perform financial audits and assist with resolving any identified discrepancies.
  • Produce ad hoc and specialised financial reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with project managers, operational teams, and other finance colleagues to ensure the accuracy and integrity of project financial information.
  • Apply professional accounting principles consistently and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of more efficient ways of working.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately three to four years of project accounting or relevant financial experience, preferably gained within a multinational organisation.
  • Fluency in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a complex, fast-paced, and international business environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage detailed financial information while maintaining an understanding of the wider commercial and operational context.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with operational teams and a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
