Job Description
As an Intern Programmer, you'll dive into the heart of game development, crafting and fine-tuning game mechanics in Unreal Engine with C++ and Blueprints. Collaborate closely with designers and engineers, tackle bugs, refine code through reviews, and leave your mark on cutting-edge projects while sharpening your game dev skills.
Responsibilities
- Work on developing and maintaining game mechanics, systems, and tools in Unreal Engine using C++ programming language and Blueprints.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to ensure that the game meets the project's technical requirements and quality standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for your work when required.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs in existing code.
Qualifications
- A strong Github or website that highlights your programming skills, thought process, and key decision-making abilities within game programming.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with C++ programming language.
- Familiarity with game development principles and best practices.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Unreal Engine or other commercial or open-source game engines.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git or SVN.
- Experience with other programming languages, such as Python or C#.
- Experience with graphics programming; experience with optimization techniques.
