We currently have a brand new opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our Programme & Implementations function at our site in Derby.

As a Programme Manager you will oversee implementations across the function, from new contracts and renewals to business improvement initiatives, taking an uplifted, holistic view of progress, making sure projects run on time and to budget.

You will use resource planning and performance matrixes to support your decision making, enabling you to provide regular updates to senior leadership, chasing through any escalations and taking effective decisions regarding blocking points in a project.

Reporting into the Programme Director, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of programmes, utilising effective stakeholder engagement to establish robust governance of the function as a whole.

About You

You will have previous Project Management experience and ideally be fully or part qualified in a relevant professional certification (Prince2 etc..)

You can demonstrate an ability to manage high volume, fast paced projects effectively.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of contract implementations, contract compliance and trade and compliance, ideally within an EMEA environment.

Previous experience working within the aerospace industry is essential.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent commercial and business acumen.
You will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Some experience in procurement activities would be beneficial (e.g. purchasing and profitability strategies)

You will have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential, alongside experience using Copilot or other AI tools to enhance productivity.

Skills Required

  • Previous project management experience
  • Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced projects
  • Previous experience working within the aerospace industry
  • Knowledge and experience of contract implementations, contract compliance, and trade compliance
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Copilot or other AI tools to enhance productivity
  • Full or partial qualification in a relevant project management certification such as PRINCE2
  • Experience in procurement activities, including purchasing and profitability strategies
  • Experience within an EMEA environment
