Job Description

We are looking for a Programme Manager to partner with us as an Engineering Operations Manager in scaling the operational backbone of our engineering team at Wise. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive, hands-on approach and the strategic mindset to navigate complex, cross-functional programs.

As we continue to grow, the Engineering Operations team is now taking on new and exciting projects to ensure we remain sustainable while scaling. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives and support the continued success of Wise during this exciting phase of growth.

You will be joining a small impactful team who set out to ensure that key business operations run smoothly, efficiently. Working across the business you will lead and support projects, with both a strong project management skillset and operational lens.

  • Lead and drive key engineering operational programs and engineering-wide initiatives that touch every corner of the organisation

  • be integrating program requirements into existing workflows through collaboration and aligning objectives, milestones, and timelines, while establishing engagement frameworks with clear ownership and governance amongst the teams. 

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder alignment and lead projects end to end

  • Collaborate with teams across Wise to manage, track, and report on the progress of company-wide initiatives, ensuring transparency, accountability, and successful delivery

Qualifications

What you will need:

This role requires an individual ready to juggle priorities while delivering impactful results. Here’s a snapshot of what we need:

  • Proven experience in large-scale programme management, operations management and delivery and a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and projects

  • Experience mapping out clear roadmaps, align stakeholders, and keep teams on track for successful project outcomes.

  • Ability to identify risk and be a visibility champion by keeping potential blockers in sight before they become hurdles. .

  • Be collaborative, whether it’s across teams, tribes, or departments—you’ll create alignment and engagement frameworks to keep all teams synced to shared goals.

  • An understanding of operational processes within engineering or technology environments.

  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

  • A data-driven, analytical mindset with experience in model building

We expect new joiners in the office most days to build connections and learn from colleagues for their first six months. After that, most Wisers split their working week between the office and home, typically coming in at least 12 times a month.
